As you may be aware there has been an exponential growth in the development of drones over the past number of years. In tandem with this growth and advances in manufacturing, drones have become smaller, cheaper and simpler to operate.
With Christmas fast approaching and changes in the regulation of drone operation imminent (21st December), the safe and responsible use of drones should be considered by all drone users. In particular, if you are buying a drone as a gift for young person we would suggest that they are fully informed of the safe and responsible use of drones in Ireland, particularly with effect from 21st December. We have included a publication from the Irish Aviation Authority concerning the use of drones and further information can be found at www.iaa.ie/drones
Drones have opened up many new and exciting possibilities in our society. It is incumbent on all of us to ensure that safety is our number one priority when operating drones.
