On Sunday evening the Sacred Heart Parish hosted its annual concert for the Cork Simon Community. For the first year ever St. Joseph’s NS were represented at the event by first, second and sixth class boys. They joined together with other choirs, actors and readers to celebrate the Christmas spirit and help to raise fund to support the homeless. The evening’s programme included a nativity play, opera highlights and of course traditional carols sung magnificently by our own pupils. The concert was followed by a reception in the Parish Hall, where the celebration continued with food, music and dancing late into the night.
We would like to extend our thanks to Ms. Kirwan, Danny Corbett, Mr. O’ Loughlin and all the boys for their efforts in helping to raise much needed funds for the Simon Community.
