On behalf of Ms. Sheehan and myself I would like to salute the boys from 5th and 6th class who participated in the Colm Cooper GAA competition on Friday last, the 10th of June, they were an absolute credit to the school. They embodied everything that being part of a presentation school stands for; they gave it their all in their performance and showed great respect to their team mates and their opponents, both in victory and in defeat. We would like to thank our opponents St. Joseph’s, Cobh and Nano Nagle Rice, Milltown as well as the hosts The Mon, Killarney for such an enjoyable day. We thank Dr. Crokes for the use of their facilities and of course Colm Cooper himself for his inspirational words of wisdom that cheered us up after our semi-final loss and for posing for some photographs, mile buíochas! I would like to pay a special mention to the boys who tried out for the panel but narrowly missed out, we greatly admire your efforts and they don’t go unnoticed and with that continued level of determination in your sporting careers we have no doubt that you will soon reap the rewards!
Thanks to all parents for facilitating early drop off and late collection of all involved, ní neart go cur le chéile,
le gach dhea-ghuí,
C. Collins
