The boys from 6th class came to visit us today expecting to be asked to help the younger boys with some work. However things didn’t pan out quite as they expected! The Senior Infants are seasoned pros when it comes to Numicon and reminded the older boys of a few things to do with number facts.
One 6th class pupil – who asked to remain anonymous – admitted afterwards “I didn’t see that coming. Their knowledge blew me away” while another said “I’m not sure I knew this much when I was his age”. The lesson ended with Seniors showing 6th how to make a tower. Two older boys were overheard commenting “he’s a future engineer for sure”.
Another great day’s work in St. Joe’s
