On Friday the 9th of June, all of the students from St. Joseph’s NS went on a sponsored walk towards the Lee Fields.  This walk was expertly organised by the PA and some parents joined us for the walk.  Even though it was threatening rain, the day stayed dry long enough for the children to get back to the school.  The pupils also got a chance to play football in the Lee Fields and play in the playground in Fitzgerald’s Park.  It was a really enjoyable experience.  The ice-cream at the end was the icing on the cake.

We would like to thank all of those who sponsored the walk.  We will purchase some benches for the school yard from the money that was raised.  We would also like to thank four parents, Orla, Deirdre, Mary, and Tara, who joined us on our walk.
