The boys in Junior Infants planted sunflowers today. Each child will hopefully grow three sunflowers which will start growing in the classroom and they will be able to transplant them at home in a few weeks time.
Earlier this year in the spring, they sowed grass as ‘Grass Heads’ and from this they remembered that plants need soil, water, air and sun to grow!
