St. Joseph’s football team got off to a flying start on Wednesday when we beat a strong Gaelscoil Uí Riada side in a very competitive and close fought match. Our boys really played as a team which was wonderful to see and there was no shortage of skills on display with terrific scoring, fantastic blocking and tackling and superb catching. Next up, we welcome Crosshaven Boys’ N.S. to St. Josephs next Friday the 21st of September at noon. As it was on Wednesday, Crosshaven Boys NS are also a very strong team so we are sure to be in for another battle! We hope there is plenty of support and noise on the line cheering the boys on just as there was in the first game!
