Junior Infants Autumn Aistear and Making Play Dough!

In Junior Infants we have been noticing the signs of autumn over the past few weeks. Autumn was a great theme for us to explore in Aistear. We spent some time in the wooded area in the yard and picked fallen leaves and twigs that we could use during Aistear. Some of the activities we did were, tracing autumn animals with tracing paper, playing with the sand and water, building a home for a woodland animal, making a fox / badger / squirrel / deer with play dough, leaf rubbings and finger painting an autumn tree.

We also worked together in our groups and made play dough. The ingredients we used were flour, salt, water and paint. We loved mixing these and seeing how it came together!
