Well done to the boys in 5th and 6th Class who took part in the Colm Cooper tournament in Killarney today. They played two tough games in their groups, overcoming Milltown 6-05 to 1-05 and Gaelscoil Cill Airne 3-05 to 3-03.
Their opponents in the semi-final were the home team, The Mon. St. Joseph’s advanced to the final on a scoreline of 2-10 to 1-01, where they again faced Milltown, winning it out 1-10 to 0-03. Our captain Jack collected the trophy from Colm Cooper and made a speech as good as you would hear in Croke Park!
Throughout the day the panel of 19 players showed fantastic determination, teamwork and skill. Their commitment, dedication and encouragement of each other is a credit to them. We could not be prouder of how well they played as a team and how fantastically they conducted themselves during the day. Well done boys on a truly well-deserved win!
