This week we are celebrating Catholic Schools Week and today’s theme was ‘Living in Harmony with all Generations’.
Mrs Norton and her Junior Infants marked it by inviting the boys’ grandparents in to school for a tea party as well as a chat. The Junior Infants asked the special visitors about their childhoods, the kinds of games they played, where they were born, where they went to school and what their favourite toys were. Once the boys were satisfied that all their questions were answered, they served their Grandparents some scones that they had made earlier and some tea or coffee. They all really enjoyed the chat and the tea party. Afterwards, the Junior Infants showed off yet another one of their talents and sang a couple of songs for their guests. I don’t know who was more excited – the excellent hosts or the visitors! What a wonderful experience for all. Well done to Mrs. Norton and her fantastic Junior Infants.
