Bhí na buachaillí ar fheabhas agus bhain gach éinne an taitneamh as an seachtain ar fad.

For the last week we were taking part in Seachain na Gaeilge and learning about Saint Patrick.

We did many fun activities to use our Irish. Ms Kelleher and 6th Class organised a footbal competition. Ms Flynn taught everyone “Shoe the Donkey.” We had a table quiz in Irish. We also had prizes for children making a great effort in speaking Irish. The Gaelbhrathach committee showed all the boys the Dreoilín. Ms Kirwan put on a long poc competition in the field.

Today the infant classes had a parade, with help from the Bodhrán Bookills. We had an assembly in the yard and 2nd Class sang Footloose as Gaeilge for us. Thanks to Ms E Kelleher who prepared it. We gave out prizes to the boys who won the different competitions.

The boys were brilliant and everyone enjoyed the whole week.
