Musicianship at St Joseph’s (Since 2011)

The musicianship classes are designed to introduce young children to the basic elements of music and to prepare them for successful instrumental playing. Musical concepts are introduced through a fun medium incorporating: song, games and movement.

The primary focus is to develop a child’s rhythm and pitch perception and they are introduced to basic music literacy. The course content is progressive and provides the early fundamentals for instrumental music.
