Gaelic Football

There is a great history in St. Joseph’s  B.N.S. associated with Gaelic Football. We have competed in the Sciath Na Scoil Gaelic Football competition as far back as 1947. We, as a school, are very lucky to have access to a large playing field which is located next to the school.

We are also grateful to have such dedicated teachers as Ms. Dorris, Ms. Tompson, Ms. Coakley and Ms. Meehan who train the boys.  Kevin Murray compliments these lessons by providing physical literacy lessons to all pupils throughout the year.

In recent years our football team have been successful in their attempts to win the Colm Cooper cup in Killarney and also Sciath Na Scoil held in Cork.
