Hurling

Here, in St.Josephs Primary School, Sciath Na Scoil Hurling is played by 4th, 5th and 6th class students. In recent years students have performed very well in the Sciath Na Scoil. As well as winning in 2015 ,we were also triumphant in the 2014 season where our students comprehensively beat Togher National school in a hard fought final.

The 4th class boys compete in the Lough League every summer.  For many this is their first introduction to hurling and The Lough provides a lovely setting for their first game.
