As principal of St. Joseph's NS, it gives me immense pleasure to welcome you to our website, which aims to provide you with information of the cordial and caring environment that characterises St. Joseph's NS. This website is an important source of information for the entire school community. 

St. Joseph's NS is an all-boys school and the only school located in the Sacred Heart parish. We are a Presentation school, which dates back to a decision made by Edmund Rice to provide schooling for deprived Catholic boys in 1802. The school is in its current location since 1913. 

Our vision of our school is of a safe and happy place. We aim to promote honesty, courtesy, responsibility, tolerance and consideration for others. 

We seek to create a challenging learning environment that encourages each child to develop their skills and reach their academic potential. As well as encouraging academic achievement, we promote sport, hobbies, drama, music and the arts in order to assist the social and personal development of our students. We will do this by providing a welcoming, happy, safe and supportive learning environment in which everyone is equal, and all achievements are celebrated. 

St Joseph's seeks to ensure that all members of the school community work in partnership, having the best interest of pupils at heart and for the development of the whole community. The role of parents/guardians is also considered to be of great significance to us.
