The Bodhrán Bookills were the proud recipients of one of just five awards given out by the Lord Mayor this week to participants of the Cork City St. Patrick’s Day Parade! We won The Best Youth Group Award! It was a huge honour considering that 3800 people participated in this year’s parade which was the biggest ever parade in Cork City! Last night 6 Bookills, 6 parents and 3 Staff members were invited to attend the Award Presentation Ceremony in the Lord Mayor’s Rooms in Cork City Hall. The judges of the parade spoke to us and told us that they were very impressed with the colour, the music, the rhythm, the energy and enthusiasm that both the Bookills and staff brought to the parade! Overall it was a really lovely end to what was a fantastic team effort from the pupils, staff and parents of St. Joseph’s! Josies abú!
