Congratulations to Past Pupil Anuas Syed Muhammad on Young Scientist Award!
All at St. Joseph’s N.S. were delighted and very proud to hear of the success of our past pupil Anaus Syed Muhammad in the recent BT Young Scientist Exhibition in Dublin.
Anuas won the 2025 Irish Aid/Self Help Africa Science for Development Award for a project entitled ‘HemaSense: Screens for anaemia, blood conditions without needle sticks’, a method of non-invasive blood screening of haemoglobin using smart phone cameras.
Anaus Syed Muhammad was presented with the award by International Development Minister Seán Fleming at the prize giving ceremony.
Mr Fleming described Anaus as a “deserved winner” of an “innovative project”.
Huge congratulations to Anaus from all at St. Joseph’s, we are very proud of your achievement!
