All of the Sciath na Scol winning teams were invited to the cork game vs Donegal in Páirc uí Rinn on Saturday June 1st. They took part in a parade at half time to mark their achievement.
We lined up outside Páirc uí Rinn at 1 O’clock. The temperature was over 20 degrees. There were no clouds in the sky. It was very sunny. All of the boys were wearing hats and sun cream to protect themselves.
We went to the terrace where all the schools who won their division this year were standing.
We all got school jerseys to wear for the parade.
The Cork team were playing very well and went in at half time 2 points ahead.
The whole of the Saint Joseph's team lined up near the corner flag on the side of the pitch. We marched the full way around and the whole stadium clapped for us.
In the second half, Cork scored two early goals from counter attacks. They hung on to win the game by 2 points. It was a brilliant result.
