On the 21st of May in Páic u Rinn.
We started with a small warm up in the field in case we didn't get a warm up later. After that we got on the bus at 9.45 am and headed to Páirc uí Rinn. On the way we sang a few songs.

After that we watched the end of the camogie match before us. Then we did a ten minute warm up on the field.
The match started at 11 o'clock. The whole team was nervous. There was a pre match parade which was when all our names were called out on the speaker and we waved to the crowd. Everyone from 1st Class to 6th Class was in the stand cheering and playing the bodhrán.
Gaelscoil na Dúglaise got the first couple of points.
In the tenth minute, our corner forward flicked the sliotar into the net from a high ball across the square to put us ahead 1-1 to 0-3.
We were 3 points ahead at half time. In the second we won most of the ball in midfield. There were lots of long sores .
In the second half we started winning more ball around the middle of the field. Both keepers made several saves. I scored a goal from 20m out, but only after it rebounded out twice. (IH)
I was very proud of the point I scored from my own half back line. I won the ball from a puck out in lots of space and took my time to shoot.(FA)
In the end we won the match by 10 points. We got a massies trophy which was way bigger than the football one.
When we got back to school we did about 5 laps of honor. Ms Neville told said she was delighted with us and thanked everyone involved.
